About me

I am a Teacher Candidate in Mathematics Education from the University of British Columbia, currently completing my certifying practicum. With a specialization in Mathematics education, I strive to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment where students feel confident exploring mathematical concepts and developing problem-solving skills. My teaching philosophy is that every student belongs in the classroom exactly as they are, and I aim to support their success by making math accessible and meaningful. I have experience working with students at various levels and have developed strategies to break down complex mathematical ideas in a way that makes sense for learners. Throughout my practicum, I will be observing, co-teaching, and gradually taking on full teaching responsibilities.
